The Ridiculous Magnet Project
Well, Mother's day is coming up and I thought I'd do something, you know, family oriented. Someone gave me a craft idea on how to make these little magnet-thingies using the clear glass pebbles they put in vases which magnify little magazine cut outs or clippings if you glue them underneath. So what better than to put cut outs of my family's HEADS and magnify those! The end result was just, kind of ridiculous, but also kind of... what do the kids say these days? Awesome.

I made my fridge magnets with neodymium magnets, because I have WAY too many postcards on my fridge.

Although it would be fun to call these "Chick Magnets", I'd stick to the earring backs, as Trish suggested. According to my former magnet supplier in Seattle, some of the really powerful ones can do things like pool blood.

hmm... I hear rare-earth magnets are very strong. I wonder if that would hurt your ears after a while. You could always glue earring-backings or earring clips to the pebbles.

have you tried getting a neodynium magnet and using your fridge magnets as earrings? (I've been considering trying to make some earring sets, but I don't have a full set of magnets to test with)
